You can now initiate conversations with NPCs who are currently seated inside parked or idling vehicles. The script physically freezes the vehicle in place to prevent the driver from driving off immediately, but keeps them seated rather than forcing them out of the car. Drivers understand they are speaking through a rolled-down window, know the exact status of their vehicle, and can use specific exit or driveaway commands to naturally conclude the interaction.
Gangster Ped Aggression System:
We have completely rewritten the relationship and fear thresholds for gang-affiliated peds such as Ballas, Vagos, Lost MC, and Aztecas. When threatened or held at gunpoint, these peds will completely bypass standard civilian surrender behaviors. They are hardcoded to choose aggressive retaliation instead, calling for backup, throwing hands, or initiating a shootout.
Unified LLAI SERVER Directory Structure:
To keep your GTA V directories clean, all secondary files, audio buffers, local memories, and bridge servers have been consolidated into a single subfolder: scripts/LLAI SERVER/. This makes installation a simple drag-and-drop process.

The Aukaat Check (Surrender System):
Engaging in physical combat with an NPC and reducing their health below 140 HP will trigger a massive shift in their behavioral tasks. Their ego shatters, and they physically stagger, drop their weapons, and beg for mercy on their knees or with their hands up. The script ensures that their final, terrified dialogue is fully buffered and played before releasing the ped.
Bodyguards, Allies, and Accomplices:
Earn trust through progressive relationship scores. NPCs can eventually be recruited into your active squad. Applying the homie tag boosts their health by ten times, arms them with an assault rifle, and adds them to your active protecting group. The accomplice status enables them to act as a silent crime partner who stays nearby and fights alongside you when threats emerge, without forcing them to constantly follow your footsteps.
Upgraded 100m Witness Engine:
A massive observation radius allows nearby NPCs to remember and react to player-induced shootings, brawls, vehicle thefts, explosions, and even dead bodies lying nearby. NPCs within this radius are marked. If you approach them later, their dialog dynamically reflects what they witnessed, holding grudges or expressing terror rather than presenting generic greetings.
Rebuilt Waypoint GPS Lift System:
Static location tags are dead. Drop a GPS Waypoint on your map, ask an NPC driver for a lift, and they will drive you there natively using GTA's built-in driving nodes. You enter the passenger seat safely without pulling the driver out. While on the road, you can command them to change driving speed, pull over, or end the ride.
Gunpoint Aim Detection:
Aiming a weapon directly at an NPC's head instantly shifts them into a hostage state, forcing them to put their hands up, drop to their knees, or hand over their wallet cash. Civilians comply out of sheer terror, while cops or gangsters react with immediate tactical hostilities.
Car, Dirt, and Radio Awareness:
NPCs dynamically judge your vehicle's manufacturer, color, dirt level, and body damage. They will also aggressively roast your music taste based on the neighborhood they belong to. They listen to what station is playing in real-time and comment if you change stations mid-conversation.
Interior and Scenario Context:
Dialogue adapts on-the-fly inside locations like the Vanilla Unicorn strip club, Ammu-Nation, barbershops, and convenience stores. NPCs also reference their active scenario when approached, such as jogging, smoking, or working.
Proximity E-Toggle:
Simply walk near an NPC and press [E] to lock-on focus with a 4-second countdown. Press [E] again to instantly open the chat menu. No messy aim-to-talk required!
Expanded Multilingual Dialect System:
NPCs are no longer limited to standard English; they now natively support a wide range of localized, street-accurate dialects. @BabaYaga99 Hey BabaYaga99! Thank you so much, glad you are enjoying the mod! To make the AI less mean, you can adjust your own approach in-game. NPCs react dynamically to your attitude, weapons in hand, and location DNA (e.g. peds in Davis are naturally meaner, while Rockford Hills peds are snobby). If you talk to them politely, apologize, and keep your weapons holstered, they will soften up and build friendship points (which unlocks cooperative 'Homie' bodyguard modes!).
@kevo10122 A mod like this one by @ZEXIVA77 should have more than 700+ downloads. I think there are 2 reasons behind the slow adoption. First, GTA V modding is definitely on the decline and secondly, and most importantly, the role and potential of AI is neither understood nor appreciated by users in general. The constant AI bashing by the media doesn't help either.
As for our mod, we will reevaluate based on how this script does in terms of adoption --- or we might wait for GTA V! - assuming it can be reimagined for VI. There are major differences between our project and this one relative to installation, Ours requires downloads and installations of the free/open source chat engine and TTS. While not in the realm of rocket science, it requires slightly more than the very basic skills of the average community user...many of which don't know how to install a mod without an OIV and even more who don't know how to uninstall an addon or script without a mod found in the tools section. Very sad but true... Thanks for the feedback though, it is appreciated.

For the icing on the cake add an open source TTS like KoKoro, Pocket, or Piper.
All run offline as well. Still skeptical, then write your own python TTS Server.
Final result? We have dozens of videos to show case it. We can even have NPCs converse with other NPCs...unscripted.

@nj5050 @OpenSourceGTAV is right. And you don't really need significant resources with local AI with one exception, T2V and I2V (text to video, and image to video). Text to speech does require a decent rig due to latency but you have many open source free options.

The jittering npcs shaking back in forth when locked into dialogue, and looping attempts to enter the vehicle. These are the main things I think you may be able to sort out and fix over time.

As for the gas station worker changing his story, that's just a classic quirk of AI memory. Since it uses real-time LLMs, the AI can experience slight memory drifts as the conversation gets longer. He didn't get fired; his digital brain just got a bit confused!

@ZEXIVA77 The NPC memory "quirks" you mention are unfortunately the state of chat AI in 2026. This is because of what is called "context rot" and also AI hallucination. Online implementations allow for greater context memory but it still happens. Other issues you can have with AI is the NPC going from first person to third person.
One way to mitigate these issues is to provide contextual info in the chat prompt or in text files. But honestly, it's these AI "failures" that make the game more random and even amusing at times, Of course you can't do much about hallucination and it does, and will, happen.
It would be great to have a forum where devs could exchange on implementing AI chat and TTS. A dedicated forum and not the one that has been around forever..it sucks. If you're interested I'll see if i can find a free forum host with decent latency.
