The modification makes most objects penetrable: cars, wood, not thick metal, handrails, ped bodies. This makes the game more realistic and challenging. Being in cover behind a car, it is easier to hit you with a shot.

- Added version with car metal penetration and without it.
1.1 Adds more objects type: wood, various household items, liquid (blood, oil), vegetation, animals, thin steel, glass.
1.2 Too thick surfaces like concrete, walls of buildings are disabled.

@ReNNie Ripper's realism and also Raider's gore pack already has it, but the reason why people say finally is bc people only wanted bullet penetration effect without other things

great idea but bullets penetrating its a step too far.. at least for me. how do i change it back?

no one has any idea how can i change it back to the vanilia .meta file?
honest opinion for those who would like to install it.. its a great idea BUT- the penetrating factor is not that realistic since bullets (at least not from small fire arms) cant penetrate: heavy armor (tanks, apc) or cement.
best thing to do is to try it out but ready yourselves a cope of the original meta file
Thank you, its working perfectly but can you add in future update like if the bullet goes through wood the damage is 10 (if default damage of the gun is like 15) or if the bullet goes through metal the player/npc gets 6 damage (default 15 damage of weapon) i hope you get me and i hope your gonna read my comment, ✌
@Joseph78 thats why you always make backup if your gonna change the games files but if you mod in the mods folder its better to delete the folder and reinstall all the mods u had (i have this mod in my mods folder not in my main original game files)

Does taking cover on a vehicle engine block protects me from being shot?
Is this five single player or fivem?
@Asian_Slav27 Depends on the caliber of weapon. 5.56 ammo might not go through.

This was fire until I forgot the NPCs, gangs, and police could shoot me through my vehicle too LOL
THANKS so much I have like 90 gigs of mods, can't install any "rippler" bozo mods ontop of 3 stacks of realism mods i love you!!
Will it also shoot through armored cars? What about cars that got the 100 percent armor upgrade from the mechanic?
@Alex_Hornet This is a fantastic mod, the best materials.dat edit I've seen since Rippler's mod came out. Only one problem... as much as I love how you can shoot through cars, it seems that everything that's considered a vehicle you can shoot through. This includes armored cars, tanks, helicopters, planes, everything. This makes bulletproof windows and armor upgrades useless, which sucks. I hope you can find a balance between what vehicles bullets can go through. I'm probably asking for too much, considering this is just a small file edit. Either way, it's still a great mod.
