So sick of people making without research.... This was done by crashzer over 2 months ago. And repeated by DjangoUB.... Come on! Imbecile. And the RapidGT2
Isnt the DBS counterpart, it's a vantage roadster
Just an observation, I think you may have done some unnecessary/redundant replacements. The easy way to update a texture/ytd file is to drop it in the newest/update folder/vehicles.rpf (in this case, update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday4ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\).
This basically "fools" the game that what you have is a patch/update. So there's no need to save to multiple locations, etc.
I've extracted all ydt/yft files from all the vehicles.rpf (in order, overwriting the newest/updated on the way) to one folder. now if I want to make new textures, you just add to 4ng and you're good.
beats having to find 15 different folders/paths
If you calm down and read carefully you will notice that this replacement is for the Massacro, the JB700 and the RapidGT. Crashzer version is for the RapidGT only, and even though you can extract the badges from those files, I was not satisfied with the level of quality so I decided to make my own. The beauty of this game is that you have the option of selecting what you like, so you can just leave, there is no need to disrespect. After all, we're a community of modders that make all of this possible. BTW, the DBS thing is just a custom plate for the screenshot. Chill @Shakespeare007
@drew Thank you for your tip. It was late at night so I didn't have time to test it, but I will update it very soon. It all started when I installed a pack of badges for several cars and some of then didn't work. So I discovered several locations on those folders and I just replaced them in every location. I will correct the issue today. Thank you
I'm just going through on my own and changing a variety of cars for "fun". I tested my theory of dropping them in the newest patch folder and it worked, so it just made things real easy,.
@drew I was checking it out and turns out it works as you say. It's kind of messy to be something from Rockstar. I am working in a mega pack of badges for all cars of the game. It is really rewarding to see the cars in the game with the correct badges even though is not 100% the correct model. But I guess it should do it while we're waiting for OpenIV for editing fragments support.
Gotta love the bashing going on around moders, but I agree with danimeza00, his badges are a lot higher LOD than the others I have found. And what cars they really are, well since all the vehicles in game are a mix of more than one brand we can choose our self and make them the way we want. So yea CHILL Shakespeare007 and thanks danimeza00 for the badges.
looks good, is there badging on steering wheels as well?
@PsalmZero Yes
@danimeza00 How do you make those purple images and what are they called? I have the main DXT5 one but don't know how to make the other one
@vinagritotoyota They are called normal maps and they are used to give a 2D image the appearance of being 3D. They are generated using an image editor such as Photoshop (with the nVidia texture tools). But the most practical way of doing them is to go to this website http://cpetry.github.io/NormalMap-Online/ and upload your file, and move some sliders until it looks right. Use the original file from the game as a guide.
@danimeza00 Thanks!!
Men pls Create new car: "Entity XF" --> "Koenigsegg Agera R". This car really awesome!
