These are a couple of retro DPPD liveries i made for 80s/90s cars.
They work with the the following cars : Vapid Stanier, Declasse Premier Classic; Vapid Stanier STD; Declasse Yosemite Classic.
-Intallation:
Using Open IV (make sure Edit Mode is on) open the ytd file of a certain car. Select the livery you want to replace and click on it and select replace then find the liveries you downloaded and select the proper one. If you don't want to replace any of them, then change the digit in the name of the file so that it is "the digit of the last livery in the ytd file + 1" (so if it's 8 then yours should be 9)

Can the AI use these too?
@Catalinadog what do you mean AI?
@Bouncealot420 Assuming hes asking for lspdfr purposes
@Catalinadog well if you are playing regular/plain gta 5 you would have to replace the regular cop cars, or download one of many mods which enhance policing in the game. If you want to use them in LSPDFR then of course they can. You'd have to replace the current ones with the name of the model and also select the proper liveries.
10/10
@Swed1431 thanks ;)
In the Premier and STD Stanier YTD files, what gets replaced? It seems they're set up different on the downloadable models :[
@Bouncealot420 I was assuming that these cars were addons and couldn't be used by NPCs & that they would just stay the regular variants for npcs and change only for the player. I don't have LSPDFR installed, so if I were to just plainly install the liveries, would they just be applied to the cop cars or would I have to install LSPDFR for them to work?
@Catalinadog ok so if you want the police to use them you'd have to use the "replace" feature instead of add on to replace the vanilla cars. That's the simplest and probably worst version. If you want to have them driving around without replacing the regular once use this : https://pl.gta5-mods.com/misc/traffic-red-ita It makes add on cars drive with the traffic. Although then every car including the newer ones drive too. So assuming you want a retro vibe, you'd have to install 80's/90's traffic https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/90s-atmospheric-traffic-90s-style-traffic and either replace the cars using the feature i mentioned above, or modify the text file and change the jurisdictions yourself. You can also download a mod that changes jurisdictions.
'
To sum up the easiest way is use replace instead of add-on on the cars (then the cars will drive in the whole city not just their jurisdiction)
But honestly i think it's the best in LSPDFR you just gotta change the regions.
Also, i might make a traffic mod myself where i'd include tha cars.
@TheCrohnicorn ok let's deal with the std first. So you just gotta use the addon and add it as any other add on. In the download you have a folder called mapped std there's a model there. You have to rename it to stdpolice or whatever the addon model is called and replace it. Then replace the template livery to the one you want to use. If you want to use more than one just change the number in the name of the livery to one larger. Like in a regular car.
@Catalinadog about the premier: i chacked and they do not have the same issue as the std. You can just replace the current livery or add it and it's done
@Bouncealot420 I see thank you!
@Bouncealot420 Thank you! so sorry for the late reply, I totally forgot I commented and just decided to check
Btw, not sure if i'm doing something wrong, but whenever I replace the texture, it either doesn't apply itself to the entire car or stays on the door, any fixes?
very cool i really like lore friendly content and retro cars this is an example, great job
@Catalinadog hmm, that's strange i haven't had problems like that. What car exactly does it regard?
@Bouncealot420 the STD Stainer
@Catalinadog could you send/post a screenshot? It would be easier to determine the cause if i could see how it looks
https://flic.kr/ps/3WsKXn
I renamed the STD Police files to police3 so I could spawn them in as addons and let the police use them, but after the mod you suggested, it's somewhat unnecessary
@Bouncealot420 Ye left yer LSSD Seminole livery in there mate, looks amazing btw, both the DPPD and LSSD liveries
