Ped Scene Creator
Imagine being able to populate any location in GTA V with your choice of peds, all with one keypress. Whether it's military, a beach party, a nightclub disco, or a car meet, or just walking along the streets of Los Santos, this script does it.
With this project you can:
- spawn any peds you want whether Vanilla or Addon or Replaces
- spawn any quantity of peds your game can support
- Animate the peds any way you want, vanilla or mod animations
- Select poses, dance, fight, walk, drive - whatever you want for each ped
- Select any Location. You can place them in a disco, on a racetrack...you choose
- You define the sandbox area in which the peds will play - big or small.
Install in your Scripts Folder. Ensure you have SHVDN3 and LemonUI installed.
Spawn with the Y key or whatever is in your ini.
Note: this script does not create scenarios. It creates scenes, which unlike scenarios, can be spawned at any location in GTA V, even with Maps that normally don't have peds. You can select which peds and which animations.
Important: to play these excellent Souris/Mouse and Fortnite animations you will need to download and install them. Instructions: Select Animated Peds (From ini) option. The first ped you have in your ini file will be the ped that is animated.
Mouse Animation Pack
Fortnite Emotes in GTA 5
Configuration
1. You can define the start key
2. You can have as many peds as you want
3. You can define the area (length x width) that the peds will be constrained/restricted to.
4. You select the animations (if desired).
5. Menu allows selection of over 170 of the best animations from Fortnite and Souris
You can have peds as addons or vanillas but there are rules:
1. Vanilla peds must follow the name structure in the Ped Names.txt file (there is also instructions in the ini file itself)
2. Addon peds have a simple naming convention: just use the spawn name without quote marks.
3. If you want multiple versions of the same ped, you just keep adding them.
Make sure your system can handle what you spawn
In my testing (32 GB System RAM, 16 GB VRAM) i tested with 50 peds (all vanilla). I never tried above that and game ran beautifully. Did test addon peds but not in those quantities.
You select the Peds you want and you choose any animation from the thousands available in GTA V vanilla or mods
Example only, you can put as many peds as you want, just repeat name for same peds
[Peds]
;for addon ped, use spawn name, for example Lara or Kira, no quotes/quotation marks, not "Lara", just Lara
;for vanilla ped, see attached file called Ped Names, again no quotes. Example: s_m_y_marine_03
PedHash1=Lara
PedHash2=u_f_y_dancerave_01
PedHash3=u_f_y_spyactress
PedHash4=u_f_y_dancerave_01
PedHash5=ig_tracydisanto
PedHash6=u_f_y_dancerave_01
PedHash7=ig_maryann
PedHash8=a_f_y_genhot_01
....Keep adding as many Peds as your system can handle
[Animations]
Remove the quotes and name. Place | between dictionary and animation
Example from Menyoo:<Anim dict="mouse@shuffle_dance" name="shuffle_dance_clip" />
Enter as: =mouse@shuffle_dance|shuffle_dance_clip
PedHash1=oddjobs@assassinate@multi@yachttarget@lapdance|yacht_ld_f

@fruitspring Have you ever been on a map without peds? Or wanted to add more peds, even addons? And more specifically, you wanted the peds to do certain actions (either animations, scenarios, or both)?
Well that's the purpose of this project, and as I wrote earlier, this is much more ambitious than just editing meta data to create a scenario. That's why I call it a scene, not a scenario (that term being misleading as well because a scenario is also a type of animation).
User variables will include:
- enter the total number of peds (limit unknown at this point)
- the hash or name of multiple peds (limit unknown at this point)
- the area size. Could be tiny, could be huge
- the animations for all or specific peds
Project will take time because of the number of variables but Volume 1 is the fully functional prototype with 50 peds, about 4 different peds, and a huge 80 x 80 area of interaction.
@MissySnowie There really isn't anything to translate because it's not an entity. It's like the ymt file in the old meta toolkit which had tags like <hash_68AC8351>. You had to know what it meant - i.e. a drawable for a ped wardrobe component. Then RPF explorer made it easier by "translating" it as CPVDrawblData, so we had an easier time realizing it was a drawable. Then came the YMT Editor mod which did most of the heavy lifting and we didn't have do much editing of the xml except for special cases. I think this whole discussion came about because Alexsys thought it was a ped hash...but it isn't, it's just an xml tag.
@gtavjamal You can use any animation you want including all the dance ones from Fortnite and the one from Thriller as well.
Could i use this to populate a nightclub in ? also Enhanced edition?
@JohnFromGWN Oh oh, I see now 😊 Apologies for the confusion 😇
@MissySnowie I was confused too, until i extracted and looked at the file structure.
@JimmyJackRabbit Absolutely. That's exactly what it was designed to do. Pick your peds, pick the quantity, assign animations to each ped, and select the area you want to restrict them to. As for GTA V Enhanced, this script depends on SHVDN which that team is working on.
@JohnFromGWN Gracias mi amigo!! :)
@JohnFromGWN Nice bro you're a legend. Cant wait for SHVDN to be updated
@JimmyJackRabbit Thanks!
when i press y nothing happens
@bunn Make sure you have SHVDN3 and LemonUI installed and the Y in the ini file is a capital Y.
Finaly, I can now put peds in those empty maps and interiors. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
It would be possible to add a feature that automatically generates these characters by judging the distance between the player and the center point of the set area. Multiple areas can be set up, where the characters are generated when the player gets close and removed when the player leaves. This achieves a scene effect similar to that in the game.
@JoyLucien There isn't any set area. The area width and length are the rectangle that restricts ped movement. This can be 1 x 1 or 10000 x 10000. The peds spawn relative to the player. That's the beauty of this script, you can spawn at any location you want.
If you want to set up multiple areas, what would be the guidelines given you can set an infinite number of areas. Maybe you can clarify your suggestion? Thanks
This will be useful for all the maps, such as the race track conversion, which don't have any peds. Good work.
@JohnFromGWN For example, in menyoo's xml map, you can create character scenes. Each character can be set to play animations at fixed coordinates. One xml represents one area, but menyoo's maps must be loaded manually. It could be designed to set a coordinate in this area and a detection distance. When a character is detected to be approaching and is within the set distance from the coordinate, the characters will be automatically generated and play animations. When the character leaves the distance range, all characters will be deleted. Just like what the game's scene file ymt does.
My idea might be relatively complex. The implementation should not be very easy. Of course, this is just a suggestion. If you want to do this, I think you can directly let the script read the character creation nodes in menyoo's xml file to create characters, and read the teleportation nodes to specify the central coordinates.。Your current method is to randomly generate characters within the area based on the player's location.
@JoyLucien Yes the xml from Menyoo can be read by any script that parses the xml, but then why not use Menyoo. The difference between this script, Scenario ymt files, and Menyoo xml files, is that this can be done without any hardcoding. This allows for more flexibility and most importantly it allows spontaneity. Each approach has its pros and cons.
if you want something fixed and always there, the best bet is a scenario/ymt. If you want something to load manually on demand then go with a menyoo xml map. And finally, if you want to maximum flexibility, use a script like this one.
I like your idea of triggers and that could be done in a similar fashion to what the script does now. In passing, the area is only set once. If the player moves, the area does not change. This was done intentionally so that the player can move without the entire area and the peds being affected.
Having said all that, once more there doesn't seem to be much interest in this script which is disappointing but I've accepted that.
@JohnFromGWNBecause menyoo requires manually loading by opening the file list layer by layer, I've been thinking about a way to automatically load menyoo's xml based on the player's distance.
@JoyLucien You can parse xml, that's not an issue. JSON or XML, not a problem. I've seen some scripts here using newtonsoft for that but you can do it with C# alone as well. The question is why do you need Menyoo xml when you can recreate everything a Menyoo Map does with a script.
Menyoo, the original, not the copycat version, is a fantastic trainer, the best one IMO, and the only one i have installed. However I have no respect for Menyoo Maps or crap like Map Builder. I'll leave those to the noobs.
@JohnFromGWN I made it possible to automatically load and unload based on the player's location, just like this https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/menyoo-map-to-object-placement-map-converter . However, it converts XML files into code. I implemented the function of reading part of the XML and automatically loading it based on its method a long time ago, but it was a huge project and was put on hold later. The script you released recently has awakened my memory. I'm going to directly modify the code of Menyoo to add the function of automatically loading and unloading according to the player's distance from the teleportation coordinates in the XML, and add a management function to set the loading distance and whether to auto - load for each XML file.
