REALISTIC WEAPONS MOD INSTRUCTIONS
Mod Functions and controls
Manual Weapon Drop
DpadRight:
Press once in 500ms, to drop
Press 2x in 500ms, to throw lightly,
Press 3x in 500ms, to throw hard
Manual Weapon Pickup
DpadRight:
Press once to pickup a nearby weapon
There is 3 pickup animations depending on where the weapon is in relation to your body, Low, Menium and High.
NPC Actions:
If you are close to a NPC, pressing DpadRight will hand your current weapon to the NPC.
If you leave a weapon on the ground. Nearby NPCs MAY pick up weapons if they're unarmed.
Toggle Auto NPC Actions: Press Shift-N to enable/disable NPC auto pickup/weapon handoff.
Toggle Carry Mode: Press DPadLeft (provided you're not in a vehicle) to toggle between carry mode and normal weapon handling.
In carry mode, you can deholster one-handed weapons. Allowing the player to carry 2 weapons at a time, while able to use the 1 handed weapon.
Note: You can only pickup 1 handed weapons while carrying a weapon in Carrymode.
Carry Mode (Carry weapons in left hand) PREVENTS WEAPONS FROM EVER DISAPPEARING, THE WEAPON WILL PERSIST AND REMAIN VISBLE AT ALL TIMES INCLUDING:
-Swimming,
-climbing objects
-climbing ladders,
-sliding,
-falling,
-On bikes / motorbikes
-anytime your weapon woudl normally auto holster, it will not, and just remain attached to your left hand.
Save/Load Mod Data:
Press Shift-S: To save all the weapons on the map.
Press Shift-L: To load all the weapons on the map.

Making a list of adjustments for next version. Any ideas would be great!
1) .INI file for custom key input.
2) create a force pickup, If a weapon gets stuck in an awkward spot and is unable to reach normally
@ebeneezer82 For some reason, it happens when im randomly walking or maybe near a prop
most likely a conflict with another mod. Prop proximity would have 0 to do with it, see if you can see any other patterns. Or your controller/keyboard has stuck buttons :-P Try removing other mods see if that helps. or cleaning your controller j/k. No one else has reported this problem. Any other details would help. I want this to work for you just like everyone!
When i press A, my weapon is on my left hand. When i press D, my weapon is on my front ground. IDK why key mapping is ruined i cannot play my game while using this
And my sprint key is Lshift. it makes alarm everytime. please make key custom ini
@misisipi Yes The next version will have an .ini file that will allow you to choose which buttons you want to do what. Sorry it is conflicting with keyboard users currently. Stay tuned for an update ! and sorry for the oversight

This is amazing, especially for a beta release. There a a couple minor things though
There's no way to get weapons back from npc without killing them
Weapons in carry mode or just dropped regularly reflect all attachments except for luxury finishes:

and the functions still work when near context sensitive interactions like speaking to npc, using in-game computers and navigating trainer menus:

I imagine the later will be resolved whenever button configuration is added, but otherwise this is great stuff
@N. Man Thanks sooo much! This detailed reply is very useful ! To you and anyone with tips on the first version, I am making detailed notes for the next version which will have many improvements with explanations.
@thalilmythos You should be able to holster your weapon to enter the vehicle. Auto holster doesnt happen automatically thats all. But thank you ! every comment helps me plan a better release :-)
Ver 1.1 Was uploaded with minor fixes, and before i added the important changes. And it still isnt available/approved. For best version I suggest waiting till 2.0, which i will upload today and may take a day or so to become available. But will have .INI, pear finishes saving, and other adjustments.. In the mean time, any other suggestions or additions are welcome! :-D
@N. Man --After struggling to fix the Luxury finishes retaining (like “varmod_luxe” ), i learned they are known to appear only on ped‐wielded guns (and in some cases, on the weapon wheel icon).
As soon as it’s dropped, the model reverts to a more generic “un‐finished” asset.
The only partial exception is the Knuckle Duster with special engravings – that should appear on the ground since it’s actually a different base model.. The MK2 livery's and colors seem to work , but I may not be able to fix the platinum pearl deluxe finish not retaining when dropped. However it can re apply when you pick it up, and even save/load, even though it will look wrong on the ground until you pick it up. I will keep working on it though.

Tried it, will have to wait for a new version since the current controls conflict for keyboard users. Been scratching my head on why I keep doing the carry mode, turns out just pressing A on the keyboard does it. Recognizes addon weapons tho, which is good
@ExenoChrono Yes keyboard users should wait for the next version! It will have an .ini file so you can set the controls to anything you want. Sometimes it take a few days for a new version to upload.
Currently not recommended for keyboard users, They - DpadLeft -button on the controller which triggers Carrymode, is also automatically triggered when you hit the "A" key on the keyboard. Even though the code does not tell it too. Even with custom button mapping the "A" key will always trigger carry mode, which makes the player turn Left. So you cant go left without triggering carrymode. I am working on a fix for a later version to prevent this. And allow keyboard users to enjoy the mod. Thanks for your patience, Also right now My Car saving mod will conflict with this mod, preventing this version from working if you have both installed. I found the problem for this and have applied a working fix, which i already fixed and uploaded the version for approval.
