I really like the look of this mod, except for one thing - The star shaped light sprite that appears on desk lamps and car lights. Is there any way to make these more subtle and less distracting?
I ended up getting it to work. Just had to reinstall GTA V and try again. I tried installing a blood mod along with this, and I can recall that every other time I've installed a blood mod to this game, it screws up. XD And your high-poly car interior fix finally works now! I'm glad I was able to recommend it long ago.
Okay, something's corrupted. It's not Update.rpf, because none of the other included installers for that fix the problem. I get a crash after the Story Mode loading screen.
I'm annoyed that I spent the whole day downloading and installing these one by one for this to happen. x64i.rpf failed to install, but I reinstalled it so it should have been okay. But I lack the hard drive space to keep two of the same file at once, so I've been installing them to the game's folder and deleting the .oiv files as I go. and I really don't want to re-download. What do I do?
What exactly do the "Soft Mod 1k/2k/4k" files do? Does that set the texture size (seems counter-intuitive to the mod) or does it alter the resolution of the world's heightmap?
Hey, it's been a couple days since you posted those replies, but I'm very glad I could be of help. What you're doing here is fantastic, and I love to help make great things better.
@N8Gamez No problem, but I just want to clarify - I have no problems with the texture quality when walking around in first person mode. That still looks good. My only problems is with the car interiors not loading, which I've mentioned before.
Will deleting x64e.rpf revert ONLY the car interiors, or will it revert all the textures in the game's world too? All I want fixed are the cars - everything else is perfect.
Thank you very much for your fine work! Continue working your wonders. c:
This mod definitely did increase my performance with a near unnoticeable texture downgrade, but there is one problem... High quality car interiors don't load - I'm stuck driving cars with blocky, polygonal steering wheels and low res textures. I mainly play in first person mode.
Question: your documentation gives me the impression that I would be able to use the modified timecycles and visualsettings in online play. Is this true, or would I be likely to get banned?
