Brutality+ enhances the blood effects and makes GTA5 look much more brutal and realistic.
Every single splatter, bloodpool and gunshot wound got remade by me, they look better and are higher resolution (2k)
It also makes peds take much more damage and get injured more instead of dying in a single shot or from a light car crash.
There should be no difference in performance.
Installation
1. move fxdecal.ytd to mods\update\update.rpf\x64\textures
(Changes the blood splatter and blood pool textures)
2. move peddamagedecals.ytd to mods\x64a.rpf\textures
(adds my better gunshot and splatter textures, and the textures needed for my special headshot wounds)
3. move peddamage.xml to mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\effects\peds
(Changes the blood colors and splatter / soak / gunshot sizes)
Ive provided some extra edits if you want your game to be more brutal and feel more realistic / violent, but these may conflict with other config mods.
4. move decals.dat to mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\effects
(Changes the size of blood pools and improves the blood splattering)
5. move bloodfx.dat to mods\common.rpf\data\effects
(Changes the way gore effects happen.)
6. move pedhealth.meta to mods\common.rpf\data
(Changes health of the peds to make them more resistant.
People will survive a lot more shots, limping away from attacks, and survive slow to medium speed car crashes which makes them limp away as well)
7. go to \x64c.rpf\anim\ingame\clip_combat@.rpf\ and delete the file "combat@death@from_writhe"
(Makes peds stay injured on the floor forever until you execute them.
You are NOT allowed to use the textures for anything. I spent a lot of time making them and will reuse them for my own games.
I am experimenting with RDR2-type head wounds. They work so far but are glitchy, im trying to make them look good. Therell be more updates to this mod in the future to make it even better.

Blood pool missing. Is there any fix?

i decided not to update this mod anymore as a lot of modders here have a better understanding and more passion for modding this game than i do. Theres gore mods that do a lot more, including what i planned with this originally. and also its been too much of a headache for me to try and figure out the gore system in this. I feel better off using my graphics skills on my own games and learning gamedev

Hello, the mod is very good! But one thing though, in my opinion the bullet hole sizes are too big when you shoot someone with a rifle to the chest.
ive got a problem my oiv keeps saying it needs to restart when i do what the read me file says

After installing this mod, in missions where there are any shootouts, the opponents just stand up and do nothing. Do you know how to fix it?

@JuliusFalck1 yeah youre right the bullet holes are too big @Sna0 no idea why that happens but its likely because of one of the data files. after so many updates to the game i recommend you only install the blood textures and not the configs
@kevkev117 Yo bro love the textures but the config is messed up. I tried deleting it twice by uninstalling the game but its still there, any support ill be thankful for. Thanks!
