You can go to ammu nation and change the weapon skin. (View the screenshots)
INSTALLATION
1. Use OpenIV, enable edit mode.
2. Go to \update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\weapons.rpf\ and replace "w_ar_assaultrifle+hi.ytd" & "w_ar_assaultrifle.ytd" files
3. Once you've done that go to \update\update.rpf\common\data\ai and replace "weapons.meta"
4. Then go to \x64\audio\sfx\WEAPONS_PLAYER.rpf\ and replace "mgn_sml_am83_vera.awc"
5. Finish and launch.
Changelog (There is no much to update)

-Added real AK-47 sounds (completely optional)

Initial release
-Do not use in online, you can get banned
-If you have any suggestions leave in comments

Whenever I install the file and open up GTA 5, the game updates and the skin doesn't show up.
I don't understand every time i install a texture "mod" it' starts downloading like 5gb again from the game when i launch it, after the download, the texture "mod" is gone? You know default texture again? Please help

@tobiasalbin @uzzumymw a lot of people are getting this error, idk how to fix that... Just try check config of steam or social club to disable autoupdates or something like that

The weapon in-game is NOT AK-47, no matter how many of you don't give a crap about it

There is no such automatic rifle as AK 47. It's AK (Автомат Калашникова) and it's latest version AKM, both used 7.62 rounds.

As of latest update, your texture is bugged. The new AK texture location is in patchday8ng. I tried copying your old texture there but it's buggy.
can someone give me original file w_ar_assaultrifle.ydr and w_ar_assaultrifle_hi.ydr
I replace it with false mod and I forget to backup it before. I always get error after shoot using assault riffle and in some mission

@Nikki_Putin if it is a norinco it's still an AK 47. Norinco is a Chinese manufactured rpk styled 1.5mm heavy receiver with a heavy diameter barrel for longer sustained fire. Most AK varients feature a 1 mm stamped receiver. Norinco makes some of the best AK 47 but are no longer importable since the Clinton administration ban. (The company was selling rocket launchers, full auto weapons and even a tank to street gangs in California)
This doesn't work fore me, the texture doesn't show up. I seen the comment about the texture being moved to Patchday8ng, dunno if it's true though.

@LixeiroCharmoso I love such developers of this beautiful weapon and now, I can watch the standard version of the weapon. It's just an element.
