@Wolfx101 I'll see when I can drop the update
@V3ry_H1GH Thank you for the feature! Really appreciate it :)
@woohoowi you don't need to install materials.dat. Materials.dat was previously used to change how the ragdoll moves on other surfaces. I later changed it back to default and thought that installing it again would be a faster solution than having to uninstall the mod and reinstall it again
@woohoowi I recommend also installing the naturalmotion files as they are a crucial part of the mod itself
@xFaZebRuTaLx It's optional. You won't have to install it if you don't want to. No it's not part of physicstasks.ymt, it's a separate file
@dtrail Most likely is. I'll fix it when I have time
@woohoowi Yeah, there are some limitations on what I was able to achieve, but this is possibly the best it can get. Thanks for the rating! I'm glad you like the mod :)
2.0.6 (FULL VERSION) changelog
- 100% Recreation of the falling and landing reactions from GTA IV
- Pushing NPCs with a car is now fixed and uses 100% accurate GTA IV based behavior
- Rolling is now much more fluid and responsive. Also more accurate to GTA IV
- Bailing out reactions are massively improved. They are now as accurate to GTA IV as it can be
- Balancing should now be as stable as it can be
- Gravity is now more corrected. You won't go spinning crazy when flying out of a windshield/off a bike.
- On Fire Reactions improved. Balancing lasts a bit longer now
- Stiffness has now been fully removed. Now it's just fluid and smooth movements when falling, rolling or bailing out of a vehicle
- For those using drunkIV, you will now be able to balance correctly. Also accurate to GTA IV
- Neckshot reactions are less crazy now
- NPC Grabbing onto vehicles is fixed. Now it happens more often. This also affects the player
- GTA IV balancing velocity push has now been applied to gunshots. Whenever you shoot an enemy in the stomach, they will stumble backwards for a lot longer than a second, resulting in fluid and smooth movements
- The FallOverWall sequence is now fixed. NPCs will now fall over the wall the moment they touch it (depends on the height)
- Bailout get up time is now shortened. Now the player will get up the moment they come to a full stop
And more. I think it's time to put an end to this folks as this mod has now fully reached it's goal of becoming as accurate to GTA IV as possible! Thank you to all who downloaded and this is truly my last update this time around. If this mod ever receives updates from this point on going forward, they are all bug and stability fixes/minor improvements. If you want to support my work, consider joining my discord to stay up to date with my latest mods for Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2. I got something exciting cooked up for GTA 5 so stay tuned for that! To join my discord, you can do that here: https://discord.gg/FJz5GjjZG2
This mod is recommended to be played at 60 fps or higher and with vanilla gunplay, if you want the accurate falling reactions and fully fluid behaviors + the right stumbling velocity when shooting an enemy in the stomach. Anything lower than 60 fps will cause the character to spread their legs when falling and movement may look a bit stiff
2.0.6 coming soon
@KodeKun There will be a 2.0.6 update 100%. I just got a lot of things polished up so it's more balanced with tiny less craziness while keeping the fun and satisfying ragdolls. Expect an update to this mod around or before christmas (20-25th)
