Toggle between walking and running (action mode) in first- and third-person views. (This is designed specifically with gamepads in mind, which do not allow walk-toggling by default.)
Quickly tap the "look behind" key (right thumbstick on the controller, C on the keyboard) in order to switch modes. You must tap it extremely fast on the keyboard; if the camera begins to rotate, the toggle will not be triggered.
By default, equipping a weapon switches to running, unequipping switches to walking. This can be disabled in the INI file.
ScriptHookV is required. (http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv) The ASI loader is included.
Thanks to InfamousSabre for the help in looking for the right natives.
HISTORY
0.01 - Beta release.
0.02 - Code for stealth mode was backwards (and unnecessary). Removed. Added check for stealth mode in toggle reset.
0.03 - Added check to prevent toggle when switching weapons.
1.00 - Converted to C++ ASI (GTALua no longer required).

@Valhalla_Awaits What are you talking about? It works perfectly fine.
@enkrypt3d Pulled the image from Google.
Lol 22mb for a script, wtf is in this ?
Anyway good mod as it does not take another key and adds a feature
You...know that you actually can walk in 1st person in the normal game, right? Or am I missing something here? I don't see why you would need a mod for a feature that is already in the game...
@Agln the script source and VS project files.
@Despair not with a gamepad, you can't, unless you want to just barely nudge the thumbstick, which can get really stressful if you try to do it for extended periods of time.
@chinagreenelvis very handy mod when playing with a gamepad! could you make it that you can also toggle 'running' while aiming down sights in third person? with the standart layout you have to hold A/X and you can't aim.. would be so much more comfortable to toggle it.. (i know that you can with the 'Standart FPS' layout but then you have to hold down the LS to sprint which i find very uncomfortable. keep up the good work!
pls try and change the "C" button toggle... "Z" would be alot better... it just zooms the radar also is starting to interfere with other mods
Thank you so much 😊
Good job, thanks.
I've been looking for a mod that does this for a while now....thanks a lot!
I installed this with my keybindings changed and it weirded out on me. I changed 'look back' to V and C to 'camera'. So when I hit C he goes to 3rd person view. Hit C again and the 3rd person view changes to further out (still walking). He' always walking and it can't he toggled back to run unless I go back to 1st person. Removed the script - went back into game - reset to defaults (which was not working with script installed (all keys were locked into current config)) - reinstalled script - viola!
I don’t understand how to install this mod. The readme.txt file says to drop the contents of “CGE_Dynamic_Rader” into my GTA V base directory, but I find no such folder.
@Dimentive did you ever figure out how to install this mod?
if not,
@chinagreenelvis how do I install this mod? The readme file is wrong, or there's a folder missing from the download
@wickedwick yeah im with you guys
Same here! try walking is easy as breathing does the job!
The mod 80% works. Franklin, Michael, and Trevor work, and so does the Freeroam Female, but the Freeroam Male does not work at all. I have the mod in the same directory as GTA5.exe, and it gets it to work for all but the Freeroam Male.
As it 80% works, I'm giving this mod 80%
Great mod, ty
My character cant sprint after i uninstall this mod, please anyone can help
My apologies the sprint issue isnt from this mod, i wish i can correct my comment above
